Several years ago it occurred to me that each of us is an unfolding story. We’re always being read by those around us. Not only that, but each of our stories is part of the greater, cosmic story God has been writing since the beginning of time. That’s why God’s great leader Moses said, “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” (Ps. 90:12)
I used to think my “story” would finally begin when something significant happened to me. But no. Even the mundane details—maybe especially the mundane details—and our responses to them, help shape who we are and who we are becoming. And they tell others who we are, as well.
I recently had the joy of sharing some of the details of my story with Tim and Kathy Keller’s publication, Gospel in Life. You can read it here:

I pray the ups and downs of my unfolding story give you hope as you navigate yours, and encourage you to push through, even in your greatest challenges. After all, every moment matters.
