Ginny Owens is a renowned singer-songwriter, author, and speaker who has been captivating audiences for over two decades with her heartfelt storytelling and inspirational music.
Since releasing her bestselling debut album Without Condition to the nation over two decades ago, singer-songwriter Ginny Owens has opened her heart to people across the world through her poignant gift of storytelling captured in the albums she has recorded, the songs she has written, the books she has authored, the classes she has taught, and the non-profits she has helped motivate.
Through her love of music, Ginny has recorded 10 critically acclaimed albums, 5 EPs, and 2 Christmas projects to her credit, producing a string of Number One radio singles and numerous song placements across network television and film and garnering 3 Dove Awards and 2 ASCAP Awards recognizing her giftedness in expressing her take on life and faith through the art of songwriting. Her recordings have amassed millions of streams worldwide.
Through her love of Scripture, Ginny has authored a trio of books, including Singing in the Dark: Finding Hope in the Songs of Scripture (David C. Cook), Love Be the Loudest: Hearing God’s Voice Above the Noise (Independent), and Transcending Mysteries: Who is God and What Does He Want From Us? (Thomas Nelson/HarperCollins) co-authored with Andrew Greer. Ginny’s lifelong interest in studying the Bible also led her to New York City’s Reformed Theological Seminary where she recently completed her Masters of Biblical Studies.
Through her love of collaboration, Ginny has penned songs recorded by music luminaries such as Michael W. Smith and Rachael Lampa, shared stages with a diverse array of musical artists from Sarah McLachlan to Amy Grant, taught songwriting to students at her alma mater, Belmont University, and been a foundational energy for David C. Cook and Integrity Music’s recent book and music releases entitled FAITHFUL, highlighting the women of the Bible through writings and music by the likes of Ginny, Ellie Holcomb, Ann Voskamp, Christy Nockels, and Sandra McCracken. Her illustrious musical adventure has also landed her on a wide range of notable stages from the White House, to Lilith Fair, to the Sundance Film Festival, and the National Day of Prayer in Washington, D.c. She’s performed on high-profile television shows such as MSNBC, FOX News, and Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee.
Through her love of serving others, Ginny has utilized her love of connecting audiences with a cause to help raise support and awareness for multiple service organizations and non-profits around the country over the last twenty years.
Ginny now makes her home in the Big Apple, where she serves on staff at Redeemer Presbyterian Church Lincoln Square, as the Director of Worship Arts and the Community Engagement Specialist.
