<description>your thought about what a difference one half hour per day would make in the things you are passionate about stings to hear. and i pray it will be productive pain.

as olympian eric liddell once said of running, &quot;when i write i feel god&#039;s pleasure.&quot; yet days, even weeks, go by and no words make it to the page. lately i&#039;ve hit a gusher. and the raw draft of a project is nearing completion.

your words not only sting, but inspire. i want to feel more of his pleasure. perhaps even a half hour per day would be a reasonable start.

thanks for your writings!

<description>First of all, great post GO! YAY for the new music coming in the next week. I just hope that I can take what is bouncing around in the hollow space between my ears and put it into a coherent reply.

I wonder how many of the athletes who are participating in the Olympics have ever enjoyed a sundae like the one you mentioned in the beginning of your post. How many of those athletes ever had the chance to truly experience the world around them?

It is important that we train diligently for the race that we are in, but we need to remember to enjoy ourselves during the training and running of this race. I find it saddening to hear of person who never took the time to sit outside during the night to hear the crickets chirping while feeling the stillness of night or who never took the time to sit by the window when it is raining to hear the steady beat of the rain drops because their whole world revolves around pursing a single goal. It also saddens me when a person who never tries to step out of their comfort zone to make a difference in the world because they spend their lives so engrossed in the world around them.

In a way, we all need to learn how to use the blessings and talents that God gives us to advance His kingdom while still enjoying the beauty of His creation. We need to live our lives so when we are at end of our lives that we have no regrets.

So, I guess what I am trying to say that I agree that we should take an extra thirty minutes to pursue our passions, but we need to enjoy the world around us while pursing those passions.
